The Hamas Movement has warned that Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks about imposing sovereignty over the settlements in the occupied West Bank as “serious” and an attempt to perpetuate a fait accompli policy.
Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif al-Qanua stated that Netanyahu’s remarks were against UN resolutions and international laws.
Netanyahu on Sunday threatened to annex all Israeli settlements in the West Bank to Israel.
“With God’s help we will extend Jewish sovereignty to all the settlements as part of the land of Israel as part of the state of Israel” Netanyahu said in a speech in the West Bank settlement of Elkana.
