The Hamas Movement has affirmed that it will remain adherent to the resistance option as a means to defend the Palestinian people their land and holy sites.
In a statement on the 35th anniversary of the first Palestinian Intifada Hamas reiterated its rejection of peace negotiations security coordination and normalization with the Israeli occupation state “which poses a real threat to the security and stability of the Ummah and the region because of its dangerous colonial project.”
“The reasons for the first Intifada which broke out against this usurping enemy 35 years ago still exist today but they have escalated in light of the occupation state’s growing crimes in the West Bank and Jerusalem the desecration of the Aqsa Mosque and the ongoing blockade on the Gaza Strip” Hamas said.
Hamas affirmed that the Palestinian people would continue to defend themselves their land and holy sites with might and main.
The Movement applauded the Palestinian people in the West Bank for what it called “the epics of sacrifice and heroism” they make to defend Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
It also called on the Arab and Muslim nations and the world’s free people to continue showing their solidarity with the Palestinian people and supporting their struggle and national cause.
