Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanua has reiterated his Movement’s keenness on supporting the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and strengthening their steadfastness.
In a press release on Saturday spokesman Qanua said that the issue of the prisoners would remain a top priority for Hamas and other resistance factions until they had obtained their freedom.
“During the past year the prisoners had been exposed to difficult conditions and deliberate medical neglect that caused five of them to die” the spokesman said.
He appealed to international human rights groups to support the prisoners and work on alleviating their suffering especially during the winter season.
