The Hamas Movement has accused the Fatah Movement of seeking to strain the atmosphere and obstruct the Egyptian efforts to bridge the gap between the Palestinian rivals.
In Twitter remarks on Sunday Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that “Fatah systematically escalates against his Movement to poison the atmosphere and thwart the Egyptian efforts.”
Abu Zuhri asked Fatah to quit its arrogance and to understand the fact that it had lost the [2006] elections and that it is only a Palestinian faction.
He also called on Fatah to realize that its president Mahmoud Abbas lost his legitimacy after his term of office expired and that the only way to obtain legitimacy is through the ballot box or the national consensus.
