The Movements of Hamas and Islamic Jihad have strongly denounced the deadly shooting attack in the city of Ahvaz which claimed the lives of many citizens including women and children.
“We extend our sincere condolences to the Iranian leadership its people and the families and parents of the victims and we wish a speedy recovery to the wounded and hope to see Iran and all Arab and Islamic countries enjoy security stability and safety” Hamas said in a statement on Saturday.
For its part Islamic Jihad also offered its deepest sympathies to the Iranian people and their leadership describing the attack as an act of terrorism.
“Such terrorist attacks are an attempt to tamper with the security and stability of the Islamic Republic with the aim of punishing it for its inalienable positions against the Zionist entity and the American hegemony over the region” Islamic Jihad stated.
Four gunmen dressed in fatigues on Saturday opened fire at a military parade in southwestern Iran killing at least 29 people.
