The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas called on the Egyptian authorities to expedite the process of easing the Gaza Strip blockade vowing to provide the proper conditions to implement the promised Egyptian facilities according to Hamas spokesman Hazem Kasem.
Kasem said in a press statement on Saturday that Hamas is concerned with developing the relations with Egypt and emphasized that the movement did not and will never interfere in the internal affairs of any country especially Egypt.
He added that Hamas appreciates the national role Egypt plays in supporting the Palestinian cause and continued “Opening Rafah crossing and allowing trade exchange between Egypt and the Gaza Strip will enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and disrupt Israel’s blackmail policy.”
Kasem expressed Hamas’s wishes for the Arab countries to overcome their internal crises so that they can be able to confront the “Zionist expansionist project” and increase their support for Palestine the most important cause in the Arab world.
