Hamas Movement condemned on Thursday Australia’s decision to label the Lebanese party Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in its entirety.
Spokesman for the group Hazem Qassem said in press statements that the decision “is a humiliating submission to the Zionist dictates a blind bias to the Israeli occupation and a green light to its ongoing crimes against the Arab and Islamic nation mainly Lebanon Syria and Palestine.”
Hezbollah was shouldering its national religious and humanitarian duties in defense of its land and people against an aggressive entity he added.
Qassem also underlined the resistance groups’ “legitimate right” in defending and confronting Zionist aggressions.
Last week British home secretary Priti Patel announced she was seeking to declare the entire Resistance Movement of Hamas a “terrorist” entity.
Hamas’s armed wing al-Qassam Brigades was already proscribed a terrorist organization by Britain but the current pro-Israel step would also cover the Movement’s political bureau.
