Hamas movement on Wednesday said that the forced displacement of the Palestinians of al-Khan al-Ahmar community in Jerusalem is another war crime added to the endless series of Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
Member of Hamas’s Political Bureau Husam Badran stressed the need for thwarting Israel’s plans to seize more Palestinian lands by achieving national unity and establishing a clear vision that enables the Palestinians to restore their stolen rights.
Badran also called for escalating popular resistance in all its forms against the Israeli occupation in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
For his part Hamas’s spokesman Hazem Qasem said that the Israeli attack on al-Khan al-Ahmar is part of the ethnic cleansing policy which has been pursued against the Palestinian people for over 70 years now.
Qasem in a press statement called for intensifying national efforts to put an end to this policy which enjoys the full support of the US administration.
Tension flared up in al-Khan al-Ahmar in Jerusalem Wednesday after Israeli bulldozers stormed the area to start the demolition of the Bedouin village based on an Israeli court decision.
