Hamas condemns Israeli court ruling against Raed Salah

Monday 10-February-2020

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas strongly denounced an Israeli court’s decision on Monday to sentence Sheikh Raed Salah the head of the northern branch of the Palestinian Islamic Movement to 28 months in jail.

Hamas said in a press statement that the ruling is meant to “silence all free voices defending the Palestinian nation Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli schemes”.

“Such measures mirror the extremist and racist mentality that governs Israeli institutions especially courts and judiciary” Hamas stressed.

The movement said that such “unjust rulings” against the “Sheikh of al-Aqsa” and Palestinians in Jerusalem the West Bank and the territories occupied since 1948 will not stop them from carrying on their struggle against the occupation in all possible ways.
