Hamas condemns New Zealand terror attacks

Friday 15-March-2019

Hamas on Friday strongly decried the terror attacks that targeted two mosques in Christchurch city in New Zealand killing 50 Muslim worshipers.

Hamas said in an official statement that the New Zealand attacks confirm once again that terrorism has no religion nor origin and that terrorism is a faith fueled by hate speech which is promoted by some parties such as the current US administration.

Hamas said that the Palestinian people suffer on a daily basis from the Israeli terrorism and only a few days ago they marked the 25th anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre in which 29 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured.

The Palestinian resistance group extended deep condolences to the families of the victims who were killed in the attack and wished the wounded speedy recovery.

Hamas called on the New Zealand authorities to take all necessary measures to inflict the heaviest punishment on the perpetrators and protect the places of worship.

It also called on the international community to condemn the attack and act toward tackling the hate speech and stopping those who promote it around the world particularly the Israeli occupation.
