The Hamas Movement has condemned the attack that targeted a religious shrine in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz which left many dead and injured.
In a press statement on Thursday the Movement extended its sincere condolences and solidarity with the President and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to the families of the victims praying to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the victims and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
Earlier on Wednesday at least 15 persons were killed and 19 injured after an attack at the Shah Cheragh shrine in the city of Shiraz according to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The ISIS group claimed responsibility for the shrine attack while Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned that his country will “promptly and harshly respond to the attack.”
Preliminary reports had indicated that three attackers fired live bullets at visitors and employees at the shrine two of whom were arrested.
