Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned on Monday maintaining the punitive measures against Gaza Strip which were imposed by Palestinian Authority (PA) to pressure Hamas into giving up its rule in Gaza.
Hamas’s spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri tweeted “Retaining the punitive measures against Gaza and limiting the consensus government’s discussions to regaining control over crossings and gas exploration in Gaza are unjustified”.
A meeting of the Central Committee of Fatah Movement led by PA President Mahmoud Abbas on Palestinian reconciliation concluded on Sunday without any resolution or recommendation on lifting the PA punitive measures against Gaza.
