A high-level Hamas delegation concluded on Wednesday a five-day visit to Mauritania where they met with president Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz officials and national figures.
The Hamas delegation which included its foreign relations official Osama Hamdan and the group’s spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri arrived in Nouakchott last Saturday to take part in the third African Jerusalem Summit.
During its visit the delegation met with president Abdel Aziz and briefed him on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena especially with regard to Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.
The delegation also had the chance to meet with local officials and national figures including opposition leader Mohamed Ould Mouloud.
During its meetings the delegation expressed its deep appreciation to the Mauritanian people and their leadership for their hospitality and warm welcome and their strong support for the Palestinian cause.
