Hamas delegation meets Malaysia’s deputy premier and interior minister

A delegation from the Hamas Movement led by its political bureau chief Ismail Haneyya met on Friday with Malaysia’s deputy premier Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and home affairs minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

According to a statement by Hamas on Friday Haneyya briefed the Malaysian officials during meetings with them on the latest political developments related to the Palestinian cause and the Zion-American attempts to liquidate it through the so-called deal of the century.

Haneyya highlighted the need for practical steps to confront this US plan and affirmed that the Palestinian people would not accept it and would move against it.

The Hamas political leader also explained the difficult humanitarian conditions being faced by the Palestinians in refugee camps the West Bank Jerusalem and the besieged Gaza Strip as well as Israel’s settlement activities and aggressive and racist practices.

He applauded the Malaysian leadership for its supportive positions towards the Palestinian people and their national cause and its great role in strengthening their steadfastness at the popular and official levels.
