Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Wednesday received a Hamas delegation led by political bureau member Ezzet Resheq at his office in Beirut.
Speaking after the meeting Resheq said the two parties discussed the Palestinian cause and the US pro-Israel agenda along with the crippling Israeli siege on Gaza and the Palestinian national reconciliation.
The Hamas envoy expressed the movement’s eagerness to boost national unity and to cooperate with the Egyptian side to that end.
Hamas also underscored the situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and lauded the fraternity ties between the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
