Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the leadership of his Movement received an official invitation to visit Algeria soon to participate in a renewed inter-Palestinian meeting intended to explore avenues for achieving national reconciliation.
In press remarks on Saturday spokesman Barhoum added that the Hamas delegation would be led by Khalil al-Hayya head of the Movement’s Arab and Islamic relations office.
Last August Algerian President Abdul-Majid Tebboune announced that his country would seek to host a meeting for Palestinian factions ahead of the Arab Summit slated to be held in early November.
This would be the third visit by a top Hamas delegation to Algeria to participate in inter-Palestinian national dialog during the current year. The previous two visits happened in mid-January and early July.
