Hamas on Tuesday denied that it agreed to take part in the Palestinian National Council (PNC) meeting.
Hamas spokesman Hazim Kasem said in a Facebook statement that Hamas did not agree to join the projected PNC meeting.
Kasem said Fatah Movement has to abide by all reconciliation agreements work on restructuring the Palestine Liberation Organization and form a new national council that represents the entire Palestinian people.
Husam Zamlat Strategic Affairs Adviser of the Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas claimed that Hamas informed the preparatory committee of its intent to attend the PNC’s upcoming session scheduled for sometime next month.
Palestinian factions namely Hamas the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine have frequently slammed Abbas’ monopolization of the time place and agenda of the PNC sessions.
