The Hamas Movement extended in a statement issued Wednesday its condolences to the Egyptian people and leadership on the death of several Egyptians in a bus crash in Minya Governorate south of Cairo.
“Hamas has received this bad news with deep sorrow and expresses its solidarity with Egypt” the statement reads.
“The Palestinian Resistance Movement wishes the wounded a speedy recovery” according to the statement.
At least 25 people were killed and 35 injured when a bus collided with a truck near the Egyptian city of Minya early on Tuesday.
The injured were transferred to hospital in the town of Mallawi about 300km (162 miles) south of the capital Cairo.
The bus heading to Cairo from the southern Egyptian city of Sohag smashed into a truck parked on the side of the road a security source said.
