Hamas Movement hailed in a statement issued Thursday the Iraqi parliament’s approval for the first reading of a bill seeking to ban the normalization or establishment of relations with Israel.
The move translates the Iraqi people’s historical positions in support of the Palestinian people and their fair national cause the statement said.
The Movement further hailed all anti-normalization positions calling on all parliaments in the Arab and Islamic world to follow on the footstep of the Iraqi parliament.
Earlier on Wednesday the Iraqi parliament gave the first reading to a bill seeking to ban the normalization or establishment of relations with Israel. The legislation would also apply to the Kurdistan Region.
