Hamas on Wednesday evening lauded the position of the Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed al-Qattan before the Council of the League of Arab States in which he confirmed his country’s pro-Palestine position.
Commenting on Qattan’s remark that Occupied Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said in a press statement: “Such a position reflects the nation’s commitment to its tenets and its love for Palestine their key cause.”
Barhoum called for propping-up such pro-Palestine standpoints in the face of Israel’s racist and extremist agendas and in support of the legitimate Palestinian struggle.
Al-Qattan said the Palestinian cause is Saudi Arabia’s and Arab’s primary concern stressing the need for ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.
