The Hamas Movement has expressed its appreciation to 20 Iraqi tribes for declaring their support for Palestine and its people in an “oath of allegiance document” they released recently.
In a brief statement on Sunday Hamas spokesman Jihad Taha described such step as a reflection of the nobility of the Iraqi people and their supportive positions towards Palestine.
The spokesman urged all the active and influential parties and groups in the Arab region to provide more support for the Palestinian cause until the removal of the Israeli occupation from Palestine.
Recently chiefs of 20 Iraqi tribes visited the Palestinian embassy in Baghdad and handed the ambassador an oath of allegiance document signed by them in which they vowed to remain loyal to Palestine protect its interests and work on liberating it from the occupation.
