Hamas holds government responsible for chaos in Gaza ministries

Hamas Movement held the Palestinian consensus government responsible for the state of chaos and disruption which prevailed in some ministers in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning. The protests took place in Gaza city in the wake of the return of some of the suspended employees to their positions based on a recent resolution by the government.

In a statement on Wednesday Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum called the government’s decision irresponsiblesaying that it runs contrary to the Cairo Agreement.

Gaza Employees Syndicate decided to ban the workers from entering the ministries until the recognition of all employees in Gaza and the accomplishment of their integration process.

In a statement on Wednesday the syndicate said that the Staff Captain Adviser Yacoub al-Ghandour and his deputy Etaf al-Kafarna toured the ministries to enforce the entry ban decision.

The PIC reporter said that the Ministries of Finance Local Government and Religious Endowments in Gaza city witnessed a demonstration of dozens of employees in protest at the government’s resolution. A similar gathering was also held in Abu Khadra governmental complex in downtown Gaza.
