The Hamas Movement on Thursday evening organized a sit-in in solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims who are exposed to genocide and displacement in Rakhine (Arakan) state.
Dozens of Palestinian young men participated in the sit-in carrying placards denouncing the mass killing of Rohingya Muslims and calling for swift action to protect them.
Addressing the participants senior Hamas official Zakariya Zain Addin expressed the Gazans’ sympathy with the Muslims of Rakhine calling on the Muslim leaders to intervene to curb the crimes against them.
He also appealed to the UN and international human rights groups to urgently move to put an end to the great injustice being inflicted on the Muslims in Myanmar.
