Hamas Movement on Wednesday lauded the statements of the Algerian foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra that renewed the centrality of the Palestine cause.
Hazem Qanu a Hamas spokesman said in a statement that his Movement highly appreciates Lamamra’s statements on the centrality of the Palestine cause and the importance of Arab solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Such statements reflect the genuine Arab spirit and the national positions of Algeria he added.
Qanu also hailed the Algerian stance regarding the African Union Commission’s decision granting Israel an observer status at the AU and Algeria’s insistence on retaining the AU’s support for the Palestine cause.
Lamamra told a joint press conference with his Libyan counterpart Najla al-Mangoush on Tuesday that solidarity with the Palestinian people is the cement that binds together the Arab countries and the joint Arab action.
