Hamas on Friday said community reconciliation is a key step to boost national reconciliation among the Palestinians.
Hamas spokesman Abdulatif al-Kanou’ said the launch of the community reconciliation project will pave the way for national reconciliation.
He added that the community reconciliation project comes as part of the 2011 Cairo Accord and the efforts made by Hamas to support the National Solidarity Committee.
A meeting held by Gaza’s Community Reconciliation Committee on Friday discussed possible ways to heal the national rift. Representatives of Fatah and Hamas movements were in attendance.
