During its meeting on Wednesday with Arab thinkers and leading figures in Beirut a high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by head of its political bureau Ismail Haneyya expressed its rejection of any plans targeting the Palestinian refugees’ right of return.
According to Haneyya’s office the delegation highlighted the Palestinian refugees’ adherence to their right of return and their rejection of any proposals calling for resettling them in alternative homelands.
The delegation put the Arab figures in the picture of the latest developments in the Palestinian arena especially the dangers threatening Occupied Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
The Hamas leadership also discussed with them the regional transformations and the challenges facing the Palestinian cause as a result of the involvement of some Arab countries in normalizing their relations with the occupation state at different levels.
