The Hamas Movement has mourned the martyrs of Jenin City who were murdered at dawn Monday during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) calling for announcing a general strike across the West Bank.
“We mourn the martyrs of Jenin who died at dawn today after a heroic confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces who stormed the Jenin refugee camp” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said in press remarks on Monday.
“This pure blood of the Jenin martyrs is the true guarantee for the liberation battle to continue until the occupation leaves our entire Palestinian land” the spokesman added.
In a related context the national and Islamic political forces in Jenin announced a day of anger and a general strike in the city in mourning for the slain young men.
They also called on the citizens in Jenin to participate in the funeral procession of martyrs Saleh Ammar and Ra’ed Abu Saif.
Israeli paramilitary troops stormed at dawn Jenin City and its refugee camp and engaged in fierce clashes with armed resistance fighters and local youths.
Four young men were shot dead during those clashes and the bodies of two of them were seized by the IOF before withdrawing from Jenin.
The Hebrew media said that Israeli forces also kidnaped one citizen classified as wanted during the dawn operation in Jenin.
