GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas Movement mourned the death of Ibrahim Abu Arab the poet and vocalist of the Palestinian revolution who passed away yesterday at age 83 in the Syrian city of Homs after a long struggle with illness.
In a press release Hamas has offered its sincerest condolences to the Palestinian people and his family over the death of Abu Arab.
The Movement praised the poet as a “vocalist” who enjoyed a melodious voice and used it to express the pains and dreams of the Palestinian people at home and abroad and a “spokesman” for the conscience of the Palestinian human being who refuses to give up his rights and constants.
Abu Arab was born in 1931 in the ethnically-cleansed Palestinian village of Al-Shajara in the occupied Galilee.
