The Hamas Movement praised in a press statement issued on Wednesday the “heroic resistance operation” carried out against Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem.
“This is the latest confirmation that our people’s revolution against the occupation will continue until the occupier is swept away” the statement read.
“Palestinian resistance will not stand idly before Israeli violations in al-Aqsa Mosque the house demolitions and displacement policies against our people in Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah.”
Earlier Wednesday Israeli border police officers shot and killed a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem after claiming he attacked two of their comrades with a knife.
Local sources said that the Israeli police cordoned off the scene of the alleged stabbing attack in which two police officers were injured.
