Hamas has praised the outcomes of the Arab foreign ministers emergency meeting which voiced clear rejection of the deal of the century.
Hamas’s spokesman Hazem Qasem in a press statement called on the Arab League to declare a clear and frank rejection of normalization with Israel stressing that such policy encourages the US-backed Israeli occupation to commit further crimes against the Palestinians.
Qasem called for a real pressure from the Arab countries on the US administration and stressed the need for practical support programs to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people especially in Jerusalem and refugee camps in the diaspora.
He asked the Arab foreign ministers to push the Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas to lift the sanctions imposed on the besieged Gaza Strip and act toward ending the internal division.
He also slammed Mahmoud Abbas for taking advantage of his speech at the Arab League to talk about his disagreements with Hamas using “incorrect information” as Qasem put it.
