Hamas prisoners committee urges mass participation in Friday of Anger

Friday 5-May-2017

Hamas prisoners’ committee called on the Palestinian masses to join a series of rallies to be held on Friday in support of the Palestinian hunger strike which has been ongoing for 19 days running in Israeli jails.

The committee of Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails said the move comes in response to the simmering crackdowns perpetrated by the Israeli prison authorities against the Palestinian hunger strikers.

“A new batch of detainees affiliated with Hamas will join the dignity and freedom strike” the group announced. “Our prisoners shall never ever throw in the towel.”

Hamas acclaimed the prisoners’ strong determination and unbreakable will throughout their struggle to restore their infringed rights.

Hamas hailed all detainees held behind Israeli prison bars.

Addressing al-Qassam resistance brigades the group’s armed wing Hamas said: “Your message of solidarity and resistance has well been received. The Israelis will surrender against their will. Our prisoners’ freedom is just around the corner.”

Some 1600 Palestinian detainees have joined a collective hunger strike to protest mistreatment in Israeli jails.
