The Hamas Movement has expressed readiness to hand over all government sectors in the Gaza Strip to premier Rami al-Hamdallah and his cabinet provided they assume their responsibilities fully towards the population.
“Although this government has abandoned its responsibilities entirely towards Gaza we confirm our readiness to hand over all the government sectors to the government of Rami al-Hamdallah on condition that the national forces are witness to that” senior Hamas official Ismail Radwan told a news conference on Monday.
Radwan added that “the government should pledge to fulfill all its obligations responsibilities and duties towards Gaza and its population and honor what is agreed upon.”
Radwan also said that his Movement wants “to deal nationally and responsibly with everyone for the success of this matter in order to focus the efforts on confronting the occupation and supporting al-Quds intifada (uprising).”
He saluted all the factions that recently showed national keenness on solving the electricity crisis and formed a higher national commission to follow up the issue.
