The Hamas Movement has said that “the US support for Israel with weapons money and political cover makes Washington an accessory to the aggression against the Palestinian people.”
In press remarks on Saturday Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem said that the US administration’s decision to have a new major arms deal with the occupation state would encourage it to persist in its aggression and terrorism against the Palestinian people their land and holy sites.
Spokesman Qasem added that the continued US arming of the Israeli army would also “contribute to increasing the tension in the region and making Israel more rebellious against international law and resolutions.”
The US state department on Friday announced that it had approved the sale of 18 CH-53K heavy helicopters to Israel in a deal valued at up to $3.4 billion.
The deal would include engines navigation systems weaponry support equipment spares and technical support.
