Hamas Movement on Saturday said that the crimes committed by Israel against peaceful protesters in Gaza on Friday require actions not words by the Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas.
Hamas’s spokesman Fawzi Barhoum in a press statement asked Abbas to lift the punitive measures on Gaza stressing that the Palestinian people are in dire need of wise leadership which respects their sacrifices and works to achieve their ambitions.
At least 16 Palestinians were killed and over 1400 injured by Israeli gunfire while taking part in the Great March of Return along Gaza’s border fence with the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories on Friday.
