GAZA (PIC)– Hamas Movement has urged the Iraqi people regardless of their political and sectarian affiliations to concentrate their efforts on liberating their country from US occupation forces and on foiling the US schemes in the region.
In a statement it issued Tuesday to mark the fourth anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq Hamas stressed that unity and unity only could serve as the safety valve of the Arab and Muslim Ummah against their enemies’ conspiracies.
The statement also condemned the USA for destroying that country killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens and sending the entire country to an abhorred sectarian war.
Hamas also accused the American occupation of killing hundreds of Palestinian refugees in Iraq and of kidnapping scores others holding the American administration and its occupation forces in Iraq fully responsible for the safety of the remaining Palestinian refugees in that occupied Arab country.
It also called on neighboring Arab countries to open their borders before Palestinian refugees fleeing Iraq fearing for lives and to treat them in a way that would preserve their Palestinian identity and their right to return to their homes in occupied Palestine.
Another Palestinian resistance faction the Islamic Jihad seconded Hamas’ call on the Iraqi people to consolidate their ranks in resisting the occupation of their country.
It also affirmed that the USA goals out of the invasion became obvious that is to destroy elements of strength in the Arab and Muslim Ummah among other malicious goals.
The Movement added “It is about time to overcome the state of sectarian division in Iraq which was created by the American occupation and its local agents in order to move forward and solidify the Iraqi resistance” a statement issued by the Movement underlined.
Despite the UNSC objection the USA invaded Iraq in 2003 alleging it possesses weapons of mass destruction (WMD); yet the invaders found no traces of such weapons although they turned every inch in Iraq up-side-down which rose serious doubts on the real purpose of the invasion.
