The Hamas Movement has warned the Palestinian Authority (PA) leadership of persisting in detaining Palestinian activists and resistance fighters in the West Bank as part of its security cooperation with the Israeli occupation state.
In Twitter remarks on Wednesday Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanu said that the recent detention of Musaab Shtayyeh and Amid Tabila by the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli arrest campaign that targeted last night activists and resistance fighters in the West Bank reflect once again that the PA continues to share a “revolving door policy” with the occupation state.
Spokesman Qanu stressed that “such policy would not succeed in breaking the Palestinian people’s will and undermining their revolution.”
There have been violent street protests in the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank since PA security forces arrested last Monday night Shtayyeh and Tabila two resistance fighters wanted by the Israeli occupation forces.
A 53-year-old man was also shot dead on that day by PA security gunfire during clashes with angry local youths in Nablus following the arrest of Shtayyeh and Tabila.
