Member of Hamas political bureau Ezzat Al-Resheq welcomed the final statement of the 31st Arab summit issued on Wednesday evening.
The final statement confirmed that the Palestinian issue is the central issue of the Ummah and reiterated absolute support for and solidarity with the Palestinian people until liberation and return. It also stressed the necessity to exert more efforts to protect Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Al-Resheq said.
In its final statement the Arab League summit renewed its commitment and support for several causes particularly the Palestinian cause.
The final statement emphasized the need to strengthen the Arab League in order to expand its role in resolving political issues. This includes efforts to protect Palestine and Palestinians’ legitimate rights to guarantee an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
