Hamas Movement welcomed on Monday the consensus government’s decision to hold its weekly meeting next Monday in Gaza.
The Hamas spokesman Abdullatif al-Qanoa stressed the importance of cancelling the Palestinian Authority’s punitive measures pursued against the blockaded coastal enclave.
The decision was taken after consultations between Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and President Mahmoud Abbas the spokesman for the government Youssef Mahmoud revealed earlier.
Last week Hamas Movement announced the dissolution of the administrative committee in Gaza and invited the consensus government to assume its responsibilities and hold general elections.
