Hamoud raps Israel’s revengeful measures against pro-Aqsa figures

Friday 8-September-2017

Director general of al-Quds International Institution Yasin Hamoud has strongly denounced the “vindictive measures” that are being pursued against Palestinian figures following the successful popular uprising for the Aqsa Mosque last July.

In a press release on Thursday Hamoud warned of Israeli systematic steps aimed at suppressing Palestinian iconic figures known for defending Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque especially Sheikh Ra’ed Salah head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands.

He stressed that Israel’s continued detention of Jerusalemite figures violates the provisions of the fourth Geneva convention relative to the protection of civilians as well as those of the international covenants on human rights and the universal declaration of human rights.

Hamoud also urged the Palestinian natives in Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied lands to revolt against Israel’s judicial system and its biased laws.

He also called on the international community to assume their responsibilities towards the issue of Jerusalem and pressure Israel to halt its persistent violations in the holy city.
