Haneyya: Hamas started efforts to confront British decision against it

Sunday 21-November-2021

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on Saturday announced that his Movement started extensive efforts to confront and isolate the British decision against it.

In a statement Haneyya said that the British decision to label his Movement as a terror group would not affect his Movement and the Palestinian people’s struggle against the Israeli occupation describing it as “useless and ineffective.”

“We started large-scale contacts to confront this decision and work on isolating and condemning it” the Hamas leader said.

He also described the British decision against Hamas as “a new attack on the Palestinian people and their rights” and “a reprehensible step reflecting bias in favor of the occupation state.”

“Such decision will not dissuade us from continuing to defend our people and their rights through all legitimate means and all-out resistance” he stressed.

Haneyya also highlighted that the British decision contradicts the international law and the Palestinian right to resist and struggle for freedom and independence.
