Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has strongly denounced Washington for labeling Hamas official Saleh al-Aruri as a terrorist and seeking information leading to him.
In a press release on Wednesday Haneyya described the US decision about Aruri as “flagrant aggression against the Palestinian people and their loyal resistance leaders and a disregard for their right to liberate their land from the Israeli occupation and return to their homeland.”
“Such foolhardiness and bias in favor of the usurping entity (Israel) fall within the context of the American policy that has violated our right to Jerusalem return and the establishment of a state” the Hamas official said.
He also considered the US position “a contempt for the free will of the Palestinian people and their right to choose their leaders who are loyal to the national rights and constants.”
