At the invitation of Algerian president Abdul-Majid Tebboune head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya arrived on Sunday evening in Algiers to participate in national events marking the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence.
“Our Palestinian people and their valiant resistance regard the Algerian revolution as an inspiration from which we derive ideals and lessons as we tread our path towards the liberation of Palestine in its entirety from its sea to its river” Hamas stated in a press release on Monday.
Hamas has expressed its deep appreciation to the Algerian leadership for its generous invitation which reflected “its keenness on the participation of the Palestinian people and their resistance in the national celebrations marking the independence anniversary.”
