Head of Hamas’s political bureau has congratulated Ismail Sabri Yaakob over his appointment as the ninth prime minister of Malaysia.
In a statement the Hamas Movement said that Haneyya expressed in a letter sent to Yaakob his heartfelt congratulations wishing him every success in assuming his new duties.
The statement said that Haneyya congratulated Yaakob for the confidence he was granted by Malaysia’s King Sultan Abdullah Ahmad Shah.
The Hamas political leader affirmed that the new premier is “worthy of this trust and capable of bearing the responsibility of leading the Malaysian government for the good development and stability of his country.”
He expressed his appreciation for Malaysia’s role and its historical and honorable positions in support of the Palestinian people their steadfastness and their national cause.
