Political bureau chairman of Hamas Ismail Haneyya met in Gaza on Friday evening with the Qatari ambassador Mohammed el-Emadi in the presence of other Hamas leaders.
Haneyya’s office reported the meeting in a statement that did not go into details of the discussions.
Emadi who is chairing the Qatari committee for the reconstruction of Gaza had arrived in Gaza via the Erez crossing at dawn Friday.
Emadi regularly visits Gaza to follow up on the Qatari reconstruction projects in the besieged Strip and the understandings between Israel and the Palestinian resistance factions.
