Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has phoned the father of the Tunisian MP Jamila Ksiksi offering him his sincere condolences over her death.
During the phone call Haneyya hailed the MP’s strong positions in support of the Palestinian cause mainly criminalizing normalization.
Ksiksi was also a member of the Parliamentarians’ Coalition for the Support of Jerusalem and Palestine he pointed out.
Tunisian MP Jamila Ksiksi died alongside her sister in a traffic collision near Sfax at the age of 54.
In 2014 she was elected to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People becoming the country’s first black female MP.
