Hamas Movement stated on Sunday that Ismail Haneyya Hamas’s leader received a new initiative to resume national dialogue and end the division presented by the Palestinian businessman Munib al-Masri.
The Movement pointed out that Haneyya received in his office Masri who presented a goodwill initiative related to proposals to complete the national dialogue and bring the internal Palestinian division to an end.
The deputy head of the movement Saleh Al-Arouri and members of the political bureau Hossam Badran and Salah Al-Bardawil attended the meeting.
Hamas Movement welcomed all efforts aimed at unity and recalled the great flexibility it provided for this and the state of frustration experienced by the Palestinians after the Palestinian Authority backtracked on all signed agreements especially the issue of the Palestinian elections.
Hamas leader promised to consider the initiative and to respond officially to it and the two parties agreed to hold another meeting to discuss the response and listen to the opinions of the various Palestinian parties.
