Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya arrived on Wednesday evening in the Moroccan capital Rabat on an official trip and met with premier Saad-Eddin al-Othmani and officials from the ruling Justice and Development Party.
The two sides discussed many issues related to bilateral relations and explored ways to support the Palestinian people and their national cause according to a statement released by the Hamas Movement.
Leading a high-level Hamas delegation Haneyya arrived in Rabat on the third leg of his foreign itinerary which he started recently with meetings with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Al Thani in Doha and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel in Cairo. He also intends to visit Mauritania early next week.
The Hamas leadership started recently active political and diplomatic moves following the Sword of Jerusalem battle with the aim of rallying more support for the Palestinian cause.
