The Palestinian health ministry has launched an urgent appeal to the international community and all humanitarian and health organizations to urgently intervene to pressure Israel to release cancer-stricken prisoner Sami Abu Diyak who may die any moment.
“Prisoner Sami Abu Diyak is struggling with death alone in Israeli jails while the occupation state refuses to release him and fulfill his wish to see and embrace his moth and family” the ministry said in a statement sent to different concerned parties and organizations on Friday.
“Retaining prisoner Abu Diyakh in detention while being worn out by cancer has proven that Israel is practicing torture and terrorism against our prisoners and our people even in their last moments” its statement underlined.
The ministry affirmed that the health condition of prisoner Abu Diyak is extremely critical pointing out that it had asked the Israeli authorities several times to allow a Palestinian medical crew to examine the prisoner and other patients in jails but their requests were always turned down.
