Homes raided citizens arrested by IOF in W. Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday morning raided several homes arrested Palestinian citizens and demolished a house during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

According to local sources the IOF stormed Kobar town before midnight and at dawn Monday and kidnapped three citizens following violent raids on homes.

The three detainees were identified as Za’ed Sabah Basel Fahed and Izz Badwan.

Clashes also broke out between local young men and Israeli soldiers as the latter was withdrawing from the town.

Eyewitnesses reported that the soldiers intensively fired tear gas grenades and rubber bullets at angry youths during confrontations with them in Kobar.

The IOF also stormed different neighborhoods of Qalqilya city provoking clashes with young men in Jaljoulia area.

The IOF carried out drills near the separation wall in Qalqilya during the early morning hours before withdrawing according to eyewitnesses.

The IOF also launched a campaign in Azzun town east of Qalqilya where its troops ransacked homes and conducted on-site interrogations with citizens.

Local sources said that a large number of soldiers aboard 15 military jeeps and armored vehicles stormed the town from different sides and raided over 30 homes as well as agricultural facilities and lands at the pretext of looking for homemade bombs and weapons.

Seven young men were rounded up during the campaign in the town the sources affirmed.

In Jerusalem Israeli border soldiers stormed al-Za’iem town to the east and demolished a house belonging to al-Sa’iri family at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

In a related context the Israeli army claimed in a statement released today morning that its forces arrested 16 wanted Palestinians in different areas of the West Bank.
