Hordes of Israeli settlers break into al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of Jewish settlers led by the right-wing rabbi Yehudah Glick on Monday morning defiled al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem amid heavy police presence.

Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Authority said that 119 settlers forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning.

The settlers roamed al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards while receiving presentations on the alleged “Temple Mount” and performed Talmudic rituals.

Meanwhile restrictions on the Palestinian worshipers entering the site were tightened.

Settler break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque are witnessed on a daily basis except Fridays and Saturdays.

Groups of Jewish settlers on Wednesday morning defiled al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem while accompanied by Israeli police forces.

Manager of al-Aqsa Mosque compound Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani said that scores of extremist Israeli settlers forced their way into the holy site through al-Maghareba Gate which is under complete Israeli control.

Sheikh al-Kiswani said that the settlers carried out provocative tours inside the mosque while al-Aqsa guards confronted those who attempted to perform Talmudic rituals in the Islamic site.

Israeli settlers on almost a daily basis raid al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy police presence.

Dozens of Israeli settlers on Wednesday morning stormed al-Aqsa Mosque under police guard.

Local sources said that 69 Israeli settlers in the early morning forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque through al-Maghareba Gate while escorted by a large police force.

The settlers toured the Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals at al-Rahma Gate they added.

The same sources said that 35 Jewish students of religious institutes and Hebrew universities defiled the Islamic site during the same period.

The Israeli police over the past two days have banned six Aqsa guards from entering the Mosque for different periods of time.

Spokesman for Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Department Feras al-Dibs is set to appear on Wednesday afternoon before the Israeli Intelligence Service for interrogation based on a police order.

Dozens of Israeli settlers on Sunday morning defiled al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli police.

Quds Press reported that 54 Jewish settlers forced their way into the Mosque in the early morning hours and performed Talmudic rituals.

The news agency said that a large police force accompanied the settlers until they left the site via al-Silsila Gate.

It added that 40 Israeli guides stormed the Mosque during the same period.

Israeli settlers and extremist Jewish groups carry out daily incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque except on Fridays and Saturdays. The break-ins are usually conducted in two rounds: the morning and the afternoon.

Dozens of Israeli settlers on Monday morning forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli police.

Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Department said that the Israeli police at 7 am escorted 58 settlers as they roamed the Mosque’s courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals.

It added that four Israeli intelligence officers defiled al-Aqsa Mosque during the same period.

Meanwhile the Israeli police arrested two Palestinian youths while they were working near al-Rahma Gate and transferred them to a nearby detention center for interrogation.

The Israeli police on Sunday decided to ban over 10 Palestinians from entering al-Aqsa Mosque for different periods under the pretext of “disturbing the police work” in the site.

The Israeli police usually allow another round of settler incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque after noon prayer and it lasts for one hour.
